INTERNSHIPS
Internships at MRINALJYOTI REHABILITATION CENTRE are varied and exciting, you not only gain experience and confidence at the surface level but you will also have a great time to explore and discover while doing it. This program is named as “INTERNSHIP EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME”.
At MRINALJYOTI REHABILITATION CENTRE interns are part of the therapeutic team and get to work within the team environment. One will need to attend team meetings, conduct handovers, report on your observations and add insight into clients that you may have across.
Experienced and trained personnel are allotted to supervise the interns basically the Special educators from their distinct specializations. An amount of Rs.500 is charged per intern as internship fees. Interns with disability are exempted from the fees and extra attention will be provided if required.
Duties included but are not limited to:
- Understanding PwDs, Different disabilities, Causes of disabilities, learning latest terminologies to create awareness.
- Gaining knowledge on laws & regulations, Schemes and provisions for PwDs & advocacy
- Observing group therapy sessions
- Writing reports about the learning’s gained and submit an issue analysis.
- Participate in activities
- Guiding clients on assignment work in a one-to-one setting
- Being the eyes and ears for the counselors
- Being staff member on call during some different shifts
- Research and develop new group happy hour sessions
